[ENG] Hassan wanted to study medicine in Europe and eventually chose Poland because of lower studying and living costs. He says that Saudi people know Poland mainly as the co-host of Euro 2012.

[PL] Hassan chciał studiować medycynę w Europie. Wybrał Polskę z powodu niższych wymagań oraz kosztów życia. W Arabii Saudyjskiej Polska jest znana przede wszystkim ze współorganizacji Euro 2012.

[ENG] She is surprised with beer drunk with juice and shops closed during bank holidays. She dislikes the Polish tendency to complain, yet appreciates the beauty of women and loyalty of men. Tanya finds Polish language too difficult to learn.

[PL] Tanię zaskoczyło w naszym kraju picie piwa z sokiem oraz zamknięte sklepy podczas świąt. Nie lubi naszej tendencji do narzekania, aczkolwiek ceni urodę Polek i wierność polskich mężczyzn.

[ENG] Ahmad came to Poland looking for adventure. He claims to be probably the first Malawi student in our country. He finds interesting the fact that among young people no vodka means no party. He is also suprised how cold people in big cities can be.

[PL] Ahmad wybrał Polskę, szukając przygody. Uważa, że prawdopodobnie jest pierwszym studentem ze swojej ojczyzny, który podjął naukę w naszym kraju.

[ENG] Bijaya comes from Nepal, but currently he is a student living in Warsaw. He considers Poland to be a country of great opportunities, which makes it a perfect study destination for Nepalese youth. However, Bijaya is of opinion that Poles cannot prepare dishes that taste like traditional Indian food.

[PL] Bijaya pochodzi z Nepalu. Wybrał studia w Polsce, gdyż uważa, że jest to kraj wielkich możliwości. Podkreśla też, że Polacy słabo radzą sobie z przygotowaniem tradycyjnych hinduskich potraw.

[ENG] Although he was born in Portugal, Mozambique is his second home. He is amused by the fact that Poles expect his skin to be black. He tries to fight the stereotype of the 'latino lover', yet still he gets beaten in Polish clubs. In his opinion, Poles cannot enjoy their lives as much as Africans do.

[PL] Mimo że Marco urodził się w Portugalii, większość życia spędził w Mozambiku. Bawi go fakt, że większość osób spodziewa się, że jest czarnoskóry. Walczy ze stereotypem latynoskiego kochanka.

[ENG] Adrijana is a professional player of Lotos Gdynia basketball club. She claims she heard a lot of good opinions about Poland and Polish people. She finds many similarities between Serbian and Polish nations.

[PL] Adrijana Knezevic jest zawodową koszykarką grająca w Lotosie Gdynia. Przez przyjazdem do naszego kraju słyszała wiele dobrego o Polsce i Polakach. Jej zdaniem pod pewnymi względami Polacy i Serbowie są do siebie podobni.

[ENG] Rocco is a retired USA army officer living in Poland and fascinated by the Polish history. In his opinion, Poles lack hope and a bit of pride, but he truly admires the resourcefulness of Polish women. He had difficulty in mastering Polish language, which led to plenty of comical situations.

[ENG] Nadia was born in Peru, but she moved to Poland when she was 17 years old. In her opinion, Poles need to be more open to foreigners and smile more frequently. She finds Polish men a bit cold-blooded and diffident, and she is sure she knows what women dislike about their appearance.

[PL] Nadia pochodzi z Peru. Jej rodzina od strony matki jest z Polski. Nadia chciałby zostać w Polsce, wybudować dom z ogrodem i wieść spokojne życie.

[ENG]Richard works as a lecturer in Warsaw. In his opinion, Poles are turning into nationalists and talk too much about history. However, although for Richard Polish cuisine is predictable and speaking Polish may sometimes prove embarrassing, he is delighted by Polish Solidarity movement, women and pork knuckle.

[PL]Richard jest wykładowcą i pracuje w Warszawie. Uważa, że Polacy stają się nacjonalistami. Jest zachwycony historią Solidarności i polskimi kobietami.

[ENG] Mariko works in Poland as a Japanese teacher. In her opinion, Poles work much less and are more relaxed when compared to Japanese people. Although she is still surprised about the amount of alcohol Poles can drink, the biggest shock for her in Poland was the way we drink coffee.

[PL] Mariko ma 27 lat i uczy w japońskiej szkole. Była zaskoczona, że ludzie w Polsce tak mało pracują. W Japonii 10 czy 12 godzin pracy, to norma. Zdaniem Mariko Polacy są bardzo gościnnym narodem.

[ENG] Uri notices plenty of similarities between Poland and Israel. Right after he came to Poland, he invented his own interesting method of learning to speak Polish. He loves Polish cuisine to such an extent that he even named his dog after one of the most popular Polish dishes.

[PL] Uri przyjechał do Polski, by studiować medycynę. Był bardzo zaskoczony, że Polska jest podobna do Izraela w wielu dziedzinach. Bardzo lubi tradycyjną polską kuchnie, np. golonkę, smalec i kaszankę.

[ENG] Ahmed admires Polish architecture, but he is a bit disappointed with Polish women and the style of life presented by Polish students. . He fights stereotypes concerning Arab people, yet he can make fun of people calling him names in the street just like he is made fun of during his Polish lessons.

[PL] Ahmed jest pełen podziwu dla polskiej architektury. Rozczarowuje go za to styl polskich kobiet i podejście studentów do życia.

[ENG] Gita is taking part in student exchange program ERASMUS. Before she came to Western Europe, she had thought Poland was a very artistic country with many museums and where everyone is interested in music. Does she like Poland?

[PL] Gita bierze udział w wymianie studenckiej Erasmus. Zanim tu przyjechała, myślała, że Europa Wschodnia to bardzo artystyczne miejsce. Wszyscy interesują się muzyką i jest tu dużo muzeów. Czy polubiła Polskę?

[ENG] Bruno comes from Belgium, but at present he is working in Warsaw. He perceives Poland as a shocking mix of modernity, kitsch and relics of the past. Due to the recent experiences he had in Poland, he considers collecting the entrance fee for coming to the parties organized in his house.

[PL] Bruno pochodzi z Belgii. W Polsce przebywa od 3 miesięcy. Uważa, że Polacy są z siebie dumni i mają dość dobrą reputację w świecie.

[ENG]Although she treats Poland as her second home, she complains about the difficulties the foreigners encounter here on different occasions. She loves Polish parties, because men and women do not have to dance separately.

[PL]Uważa Polskę za drugi dom, choć na co dzień boryka się z wieloma trudnościami. W naszym kraju uwielbia imprezy, gdyż kobiety i mężczyźni mogą tańczyć razem.
